UNN Advisor Mr. Bishal Shah Appeals for Help to Release Nepali Captives in Libya

E-mail Print PDF

UNN Advisor Mr. Bishal Shah broke the news of Nepali captives held in Libya and appealed the Libyan authorities as well as the UN Headquarters to look into excruciating situation that the captives were facing.  They were being deprived of basic human rights, food and water.  Since the caretaker Nepalese government failed to pay attention to this crucial matter, Mr. Shah appealed to the UN for help.   As of today, 61 Nepalis have been released from Libya. Nepal Government, including Embassy in Cairo,  plus some other organizations are now posing as if they helped the captives to be freed.  Mr. Shah says "It is only after United Nationalist Nepalese initiated an effort on war footing, Nepalis from Libyan captives have been released. I received several calls from unknown sources telling me that why should I worry about the captives? I replied them we are Nationalists, therefore we love our nation and nationals. We need all Nepalis being released immediately." There are still few captives not released but UNN is actively seeking assistance from UN to help the captives be freed.

Mr. Shah has also proposed to erect a huge statue of Lord Buddha in the United Nations compound. At the same time ,he proposed to erect the world’s tallest statue of Lord Buddha in the Lumbini which would surpass the height of the statue destroyed by the Taliban.
